By accessing or using Eliee ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

Eliee is an AI-powered figure generation platform designed to help researchers and students create publication-ready data visualizations and process diagrams from natural language.

2. Description of Service

Eliee provides tools to:

• Generate data visualizations (bar charts, scatter plots, line charts, heatmaps, box plots, violin plots, histograms, area charts, and more) from natural language descriptions
• Create process diagrams and flowcharts via AI
• Upload and analyze CSV, Excel, JSON, and TSV datasets
• Edit and refine figures through conversational AI and direct click-to-edit interactions
• Export figures as high-DPI PNG and vector SVG, preformatted for journals such as Nature, Science, IEEE, and Cell

3. Account and Access

When using Eliee:

• An account is required to save and manage projects
• We reserve the right to modify features, pricing, or access at any time
• The Service may have limitations, bugs, or interruptions as we continue to improve it
• Features and functionality may change without notice

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information when creating an account
• Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
• Use the Service only for lawful purposes
• Not attempt to circumvent any security features
• Not use automated systems to access the Service without permission
• Not submit content that infringes on intellectual property rights

5. Content Ownership

Your Content: You retain all rights to the data, figures, and visualizations you create using Eliee. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely for the purpose of generating and rendering your figures.

Our Service: All aspects of the Eliee platform, including design, code, and algorithms, are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws.

Generated Figures: You may use figures generated by Eliee for personal, academic, and commercial purposes. You may not redistribute or resell the Eliee platform itself.

6. Limitations of Service

• AI-generated chart configurations may not always perfectly represent your data
• Complex or ambiguous natural language prompts may produce unexpected results
• We do not guarantee that exported figures will meet every journal's specific formatting requirements

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ELIEE AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
